Our New Universal Triple Action Crane Controller board offers a unique way to control your Lionel ® Triple action cranes. It features a high output control for the DC version of the cranes. It’s easy to install and will provide many hours of enjoyment operating this fun accessory.

Once the UTAC-C is installed in your crane it will respond to a locomotive ID number and perform very similar to that of a locomotive. It’s designed to be self-contained within the crane’s housing with only 2 wires connected to a power source, such as the track, so no additional wiring is needed to operate this accessory..

Each UTAC-C will control cranes with or without an electromagnet or a coil activated coal scoop. The UTAC-C truly is a UNIVERSAL command upgrade for your all your Lionel DC motored Crane accessories! The photo below shows a UTAC-C installed in the latest Lionel Triple Action Crane.

You can see how the UTAC-C board is installed up inside the crane base and out of sight. This allows you clearance for locomotives and rolling stock so you can run a train right underneath the crane.

 Only 3 buttons are required to operate the crane from the Cab-1; 

• AUX2 Turns the Magnet / Bucket on or off
• AUX1 + 9 Controls the magnet or bucket up/down
• AUX1 + 8 Controls the left/right movement of crane cab
• DIR BUTTON   Controls the direction
• RED THUMBWHEEL Adjusts the speed of the crane left/right or hook up/down, just like controlling an engine!
