Universal Command Upgrade Board
(AC & DC UCUB)

The Universal Command Upgrade Board better known as a UCUB is a Command Control conversion board that allows you to reuse an existing sound system. The UCUB is available for both AC motors and DC motors and features our reliable 8 amp motor driver circuit (which means it will handle up to .2 motors). The UCUB is unique because it allows you to reuse an existing sound system, regardless of who made it or when it was made (excluding Protosounds 2.0).

The UCUB's patented sound circuit provides a constant 12 VAC to the sound system and generates a positive and negative DC offset. What is a positive and negative DC offset? This is the same signal your conventional transformer generates to activate the horn and bell sounds. The circuit is unique because it allows you to control whatever sound system your locomotive already has from the Cab-1 remote (or DCS handheld remote) in a full command controlled environment.

The dimensions of the UCUB are; 1.25" Wide x 5" Long x 5/8" Tall (the end with the vertical board is 1 1/2" Tall)

Each UCUB is compatible with (but not limited to) the following sound systems;

• Lionel Sound of Steam
• Railsounds 1, Railsounds 2 (Pre TMCC of course)
• Ott Machine Service
• Williams True-Sounds, Tru-Blast I and Tru-Blast II
• QSI QS-3000
