Command Ready Components
If you own a Lionel Command Ready locomotive then we have the parts you'll need to upgrade the engine to TMCC with Railsounds 4.0 and electronic coil couplers. The parts shown below are only applicable to "Command Ready" locomotives shipped by either Lionel or K-Line. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Coil Couplers. If you would like to uprade yor couplers to electronic coil couplers please see the chart bnelow. Please advise the locomotive you are upgrading when you call in your order so we can ensure you receive the proper coupler(s). The photo below illustrates what a coil coupler looks like;

R2LC Command Receiver Board The R2LC is designed for Command Ready Locomotives released by both Lionel and K-Line. Lionel's part number is 6-22960. All R2LC's have the code designation of C08. If you are upgrading a Lionel C-420 Command Ready Locomotive, please request a C07 board, as the C08 board will require you to swap the wires on the headlight leads.

These boards are only for use in Command Ready locomotives and will NOT work as stand alone units. They must be plugged into a motherboard to operate properly. Lionel's part number for the diesel sounds is 6-22964 and steam kits are 6-22963. If you are unsure of your specific application please contact us.
